Antonio Kizzie, Law Clerk
Currently, Mr. Kizzie serves as a law clerk to Elena M. Occhipinti, Esq. During Mr. Kizzie’s tenure at University of California Los Angeles School of Law, he was involved in a myriad of activities. He served as the Co-Chair of the UCLA Black Law Students Association, a mentor in the UCLA Law Fellows Program, Articles Editor of the UCLA Entertainment Law Review, successfully competed in the Jones Day LLP Moot Court Competition, and both represented UCLA and recruited students at the 2009 Mid-Atlantic Pre-Law Conference at Howard University. Antonio also serves as a research assistant to the Vice-Dean of UCLA Law, Professor Devon Carbado, Esq.
Antonio has always had a strong commitment to community service. At Howard University, he served for three years as a freshman mentor in the John H. Johnson School of Communications, tutored children at LaSalle Elementary School in Washington, D.C., was Vice- President of the Howard University Pan Hellenic Council, Co-Chair of the Social Action Committee of Phi Beta Sigma, and was a volunteer at Howard University’s Alternative Spring Break New Orleans Hurricane Relief Project. He continues giving back to the community while at UCLA by volunteering with the UCLA Prisoner Reentry Clinic, Black Women Lawyers Association, and the John Langston Bar Association Youth Outreach Program.
While at Howard University, he also interned at the U.S. Dept. of Justice Office of Communications, and Executive Office of the District of Columbia Courts Director of Legislative, Intergovernmental, and Public Affairs. While interning at the D.C. Superior Courts, he simultaneously performed as Co-Editor in Chief of the Full Court Press, Newsletter for the D.C. Superior Courts. Antonio is proficient in Spanish.
