Kelly Johnson, Law Clerk

Kelly is a 2010 graduate of Fordham University School of Law. Kelly was born and raised in Philadelphia PA and earned her B.A. from the University of Maryland at College Park. Kelly has lived in New York City, Washington DC, and several countries in the Middle East, and now resides in Los Angeles California.

While a student at Fordham Law School, Kelly was involved in many extracurricular activities including the Brendon Moore Trial Advocacy team, Entertainment and Sports Law Association, Copyright Moot Court Competition, OutLaws, and the Black Law Student Association.

Kelly also served as a mentor for incoming first year law students as part of Fordham Law School’s Academic Enrichment Program. In addition, Kelly volunteered for Fordham Law School’s Mediation Clinic where she served as a mediator in Bronx Civil Court mediating all manner of small claims cases. Kelly also volunteered for the Student Hurricane Network, a program run by Fordham Law School in conjunction Tulane Law School which sends student volunteers to provide assistance with post Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts. As a student volunteer, Kelly traveled to New Orleans where she assisted hurricane survivors with insurance filings, divorce filings, guardianships, wills and other legal issues.

In addition to her volunteer activities, Kelly was a legal intern at King, Perry, Ramsey & Howell, and McCue, Sussmane and Zaphel, both entertainment law firms based in New York that represent many clients in the music, fashion, and entertainment industries.

Prior to law school, Kelly served five years in the United States Marine Corps and spent five years as an intelligence analyst for the National Security and Central Intelligence Agencies.

Kelly is a member of the New York and Beverly Hills Bar Association.
